The Delzani "Defender" Flag attached hood horse rug features our latest next-gen Flag fabric. Still with that great open weave & high airflow, we all love, but now with built-in hexagon ripstop threads for added strength.

Designed for the hottest of weather, the Delzani flag is ideal for a lightweight, high-airflow horse rug that offers insect and UV protection. 

Delzani Equestrian's Flag Cloth Rug is constructed using 210gsm PolyCotton with a built-in ripstop, currently regarded as the best in class. Unlike other flag combos, this rug's fabric retains its integrity, with woven threads firmly in place, even in demanding conditions.

The hood and shoulders are lined with satin anti-rub linings. Our hoods come with enclosed ears and poll straps

Our flag-attached hood combos feature a generous drop, especially in the bigger sizes (where other brands fall short), and lots of design features to provide unbeatable value.

The flag fabric is unbeatable as a cool and lightweight horse rug option. It's an open weave PolyCotton - in many ways similar to cheesecloth. It allows airflow to pass through the fabric and keeps out most insects while offering good sun protection. But it comes at a price as flag fabric is very easily destroyed on a horse that's itchy, has the wrong temperament, or gets caught on a fence, etc. So don't expect a long life from a flag rug. Ripstop or Mesh can be a better option for horses who are tough on rugs.

^ 6'0 and 6’3 rugs are available with either a Cob or Full-size hood attached. Tip: the majority of Horses in a 6’0 Rug will take a COB-size hood and Horses in a 6’3 Rug will need a full-size hood.   Please note the suggested hood size to rug size above is a guide only.
